Slash Saturday June 27, 2026

June 27 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

To increase the likelihood our homes will survive a wildfire and reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire in our communities, the Spanish Peaks Alliance for Wildfire Protection (SPAWP) and the Baker Creek Firewise Community invite homeowners in the Cuchara area to haul and pile slash from your properties to the US Forest Service collection site inside the Panadero subdivision. The US Forest Service, San Carlos Ranger District, will burn the piles during the wet winter months

Materials Accepted: Slash and natural woody debris only – no trash!

***Each load will be evaluated – prior to unloading***
