Now through September 30, 2026

We’re excited to share some good news: the Spanish Peaks Alliance for Wildfire Protection has been chosen as a featured nonprofit in Target Circle™, Target’s community giving program. That means our neighbors across Colorado can help direct Target funds toward the wildfire education and mitigation work we do throughout the Spanish Peaks region — and it takes about thirty seconds.

What this means

Target Circle is Target’s free membership program. Every time a member shops at Target, they earn a community support vote. Right now, members can direct those votes to local nonprofits like SPAWP, and Target uses the results to help decide how its giving is shared across featured organizations in our area.

Here’s the part we love: this doesn’t cost you anything. You’re not donating your own money — you’re helping steer where Target’s community dollars go. If you’re already a Target Circle member, you may have votes waiting to be used.

How to vote for SPAWP

  1. Open the voting page in the Target app, or visit target.com/circle/community-voting in your browser and sign in to your Target account.
  2. Tap “Cast votes.”
  3. Find Spanish Peaks Alliance for Wildfire Protection and cast your votes.

Can’t find us in the list? Voting is tied to your Target store. SPAWP appears for shoppers whose store is set to one of the Colorado markets in our region — including Pueblo and Colorado Springs, the closest to the Spanish Peaks. In the Target app or website you can set your preferred store to one of these, then head back to the voting page and we’ll show up.

That’s it. And if you have more votes later in the summer, you can come back and vote again.

Why it matters

Every vote helps bring resources back to the work that keeps our communities safer — defensible space education, Home Ignition Zone assessments, community wildfire planning, and the Neighborhood Ambassador program that connects it all at the local level. Beyond the funding, being featured helps introduce more of our neighbors to what SPAWP does, and that awareness is its own kind of protection.

Spread the word

If you’d like to help beyond voting, the simplest thing you can do is share this with a friend or neighbor who shops at Target. The more of our community that participates, the more we can bring back to wildfire protection across the Spanish Peaks.

Thank you for standing with us — and thank you to Target Circle for the opportunity.

Voting closes September 30, 2026.
